28.03.2023 The European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebrations announces the First Instagram Photo Contest Holy Week 2023, from the 2nd of April until April 9th 2023.

The European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebrations announces the Easter Instagram Photography Contest, in order to show, from a photographic prism, details, unique traditions and experiences of this celebration of this celebration in the various municipalities that are part of this European Network.

To participate, post on Instagram a picture that reflects the European Network’s Holy Week, pointing out different aspects or details of the celebrations such as costumes, flags and banners, drums and horns bands, penitents, etc., uniquetraditions and the social aspect of the celebrations (how the public experiences them and/or how brotherhood members experience them). Only pictures from the towns that belong to the Network will be accepted: Palermo and Caltanissetta (Sicily, Italy), Birgu (Malta), Braga (Portugal); Skofja Loka (Slovenia), Alcalá la Real,Baena, Cabra, Lucena, Priego de Córdoba and Puente Genil, Carmona, Écija Osuna, Utrera, Orihuela, Lorca and Viveiro (Spain).

In order to participate, upload and identify the picture with the hashtag #HolyWeekEurope in the description, include a title for the picture, specify the location and follow and tag in the picture the official account of the European Network of Holy Week and Easter Celebrations (@holyweekeurope), the institution that organizes the Contest.

Entry deadline will run from the 2nd of April until April 9th 2023. On April 17, the names of the winners will be announced. The prizes are the following:

• First Prize: A photographic camara and the book “Holy Week: A Living Tradition”.
• Second Third Prize: The book “Holy Week: A Living Tradition”.
